Steamed Greens with Balsamic Raisin Reduction
Serves 6
This recipe is a great source of antioxidants! But healthy food doesn't have to taste bad. The raisins sweeten the greens.
6 cups greens (kale, collard, mustard, carrot tops, or turnip greens)
1 recipe Balsamic Reduction (see recipe on page 85)
½ cup golden raisins
Wash and slice the greens. Place in a pot with tight-fitting lid, or in a steamer, with 1 cup of water. Cover and steam for 2 to 3 minutes.
Heat the Balsamic Reduction and raisins, just until warm. Plate the greens and drizzle with the sauce.
