Roasted Garlic Served on Crostini

Serves 6

There are countless variations of the classic Roasted Garlic Served on Crostini recipe. Try adding herbs like thyme, sage, or rosemary.

2 tablespoons virgin olive oil

1 bulb garlic

½ bunch fresh parsley

½ loaf baguette

  • Preheat oven to 375°.

  • Cut off the top quarter of the garlic bulb. Rub both cut sides of garlic with olive oil, then place the top back on the bulb and wrap in foil. Place in the oven and bake until the cloves are fork tender (the same tenderness as a baked potato), about 5 to 10 minutes.

  • While the garlic cooks, chop the parsley. Slice the baguette thinly on the bias. Brush with the oil and place on a baking sheet. Toast until light brown.

  • Serve the bulb intact on a platter surrounded by crostini and sprinkled with parsley.
