Olive Cheese Bread

Serves 6

Your guests will love the strong and unique flavor of these appetizers.

¼ pound pitted cured olives

1 clove garlic

2 tablespoons pine nuts

1½ tablespoons olive oil

1 long loaf crusty bread

¼ pound Gorgonzola cheese

Process the olives, garlic, pine nuts, and olive oil as finely as possible. Slice the bread into ¼-inch-thick slices. Spread the olive mixture on the bread and top with Gorgonzola. Serve as is or flash under broiler until the cheese begins to bubble.
