Two Potato Gratin Recipe
Serve this creamy and crunchy dish alongside some grilled hamburgers or with the roasted Thanksgiving turkey.

- 2 slices Hearty White Bread
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon white pepper
- 1¼ cups milk
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- ½ teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1 sweet potato
- 2 russet potatoes
Crumble bread into tiny pieces with fingers and place in small bowl.
In small microwave-safe dish, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Drizzle over bread crumbs and add Parmesan cheese; toss and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In medium saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons butter and the onion; cook and stir until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with flour, salt, and pepper; cook until bubbly, about 3 minutes.
Add milk; cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in mustard and dill weed.
Grease a 2-quart baking dish with butter.
Peel potatoes and grate directly into the baking dish. Top with milk mixture, stirring gently to coat.
Sprinkle top with bread crumb mixture.
Bake for 40–50 minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown and crusty.
