Chocolate Marshmallow Balls Recipe

Let the chocolate mixture cool until it's lukewarm; then the marshmallows won't melt when mixed in with the graham cracker crumbs. For a splurge, use cashews.


YIELDS ► 48 balls

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1¼ cups sugar
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened chocolate
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 30 individual graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 (8-ounce) package miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  1. In large saucepan, combine butter, sugar, condensed milk, chocolate, and cocoa powder. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate melts.

  2. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth.

  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Let cool for 30 minutes.

  4. Reserve 1 cup of the graham cracker crumbs.

  5. Add remaining crumbs, marshmallows, and walnuts to chocolate mixture in saucepan and mix well.

  6. Chill for 30 minutes. Then form into 1″ balls.

  7. Roll balls in reserved graham cracker crumbs.

  8. Chill until firm; store covered at room temperature.

No-Bake Cookies

There are some secrets to making the best no-bake cookies. They're almost always cooked on the stovetop or in the microwave. Be absolutely sure that the sugar is dissolved before you stop cooking. If you don't, the finished cookies will be grainy. Also follow cooling and shaping instructions carefully.
