BBQ Spareribs Recipe
These are fingerlickin' good! Serve with Best Potato Salad for the perfect summer meal.

- 2 pounds country-style pork spareribs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ cup chili sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons mustard
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ribs on all sides, turning frequently, for 5–7 minutes. Place ribs in a 5–6 quart slow cooker.
Drain fat from skillet and add onions. Cook and stir for 2–3 minutes, scraping pan to remove drippings. Add to slow cooker.
In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except cornstarch and water, and mix well.
Pour over ribs in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8–9 hours or until ribs are very tender.
If the sauce needs to be thickened, combine cornstarch and water in small bowl and mix well. Add to slow cooker; cover and cook on high for 20–30 minutes.
