Chicken Wings in Honey-Garlic Sauce Recipe
Serve these wings with Creamy Mashed Potatoes topped with melted butter and some cooked peas for a finger-licking dinner.
SERVES ► 4
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 8 cloves garlic, sliced
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
The day before, in a saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, orange juice, and vinegar and bring to a boil.
Meanwhile, arrange chicken wings in a 9″ × 13″ glass baking dish. Pour marinade over chicken wings and turn to coat. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before baking.
When ready to eat, preheat oven to 350°F. Bake the wings, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
Turn wings with tongs and bake for 30 minutes longer.
Baste with marinade in bottom of pan and sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Bake for another 20–30 minutes or until chicken wings are dark golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Serve immediately.
