Crostini Recipe

Crostini can be stored for up to a week. Use it for a dipper, or top with Suave Fruit Salsa or Big Batch Guacamole for colorful appetizers.

YIELDS ► 48 crostini

  • 1 loaf Whole Wheat French Bread
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Slice the bread into ¼″ slices and set on a baking sheet.

  2. In small saucepan, combine olive oil, butter, and garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat until garlic is fragrant, then remove from heat.

  3. Using a pastry brush, brush the olive oil mixture on both sides of the bread.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then turn all the bread slices and bake for 10–15 minutes longer until bread is light golden brown and very crisp. Store covered at room temperature.
