  • Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Lightly spray a small baking dish with nonstick spray. Slice off ½″ from the top of each garlic head and rub off any loose skins, being careful not to separate the cloves. Place the garlic in baking dish, cut-side up; if roasting more than 1 head of garlic, arrange them in the dish so that they don't touch. Cover and bake until the garlic cloves are very tender when pierced, about 30 to 45 minutes.

  • To serve, squeeze cloves from their skins directly onto bread and use a knife to spread.
