In a small saucepan, soften the gelatin in ½ cup orange juice for 5 minutes. Add sugar, then place over low heat and stir until the gelatin and sugar dissolve. Drain, pineapple, reserving juice.
In a 4-cup glass measuring cup, combine remaining orange juice, pine-apple-orange juice, and enough reserved pineapple liquid to equal 2½ cups. Stir into gelatin mixture with drained crushed pineapple. Cover and chill until partially set, about 30 minutes.
Fold the pears into the pineapple mixture and transfer to a 6-cup mold. Cover and chill until firm, about 2 to 3 hours. To unmold, dip the bottom of the mold in hot water for 10 seconds, then invert onto a plate.
