In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes until mixture bubbles. Whisk in the broth and milk and simmer until slightly thickened, stirring frequently, about 8 minutes.
Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Tabasco sauce, and lemon juice and cook 2 minutes longer. Add crabmeat and simmer just until crab is hot, about 8 to 10 minutes longer.
Spoon rice onto serving plate, top with crab mixture, and serve immediately.
