4 (6-ounce) scrod fillets

¼ teaspoon salt

⅛ teaspoon pepper

¾ teaspoon marjoram

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup dry white wine

⅔ cup seasoned dry bread crumbs

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a roasting pan with foil. Place scrod on the pan and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and marjoram. Sprinkle with the lemon juice.

  • Pour wine around the fish. Bake for 10 minutes, until fish is just opaque.

  • Preheat the broiler. Sprinkle fish with the bread crumbs. Broil 6 inches from heat source for 2 to 3 minutes or until bread crumbs are just browned. Serve immediately.
