Preheat oven to 375°F. Place lemon juice in a 2-quart baking dish and add just enough water to cover the bottom. Cut pears in half, remove cores, and place pears in baking dish, cut-side down. Cover and bake until pears are tender when pierced with a knife, 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle each pear with 2 teaspoons sugar. Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes longer to glaze. Serve warm or chilled with frozen yogurt.
