Roasted Garlic Bread

Whole roasted garlic cloves add incredible flavor and texture to this bread. Toast it, drizzle with olive oil, and serve with a spaghetti dinner.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Prepare bread dough and let rise once. Punch down dough and let rest for 10 minutes.

  2. Remove cloves of garlic from papery skins, keeping cloves whole. Knead cloves into bread.

  3. Divide dough in half and shape into two ovals. Grease two oval shapes on a cookie sheet and place dough on the greased spots. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.

  4. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Bake loaves for 35–45 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. Brush each loaf with butter, then place on wire rack to cool completely.
