Tomatoes

Tomatoes are an excellent heart-healthy food, high in vitamins C and A and with no fat or cholesterol. They are usually sold unripe in the supermarket. Let them stand at room temperature for 1–2 days until they give to slight pressure. Don't store tomatoes in the refrigerator; their texture will become mealy.
