Hawaiian Pizza
This fresh and flavorful pizza is delicious served with a green salad and some Butterscotch Meringues for dessert.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 Whole-Grain Pizza Crust, prebaked
- 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 1 cup chopped Canadian bacon
- 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
In large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and green pepper; cook and stir until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in Spaghetti Sauce.
Place pizza crust on baking sheet and top with sauce mixture.
Drain pineapple tidbits and pat dry between paper towels.
Arrange pineapple and Canadian bacon on top of crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella.
Bake at 400ºF for 20–30 minutes or until pizza is hot and cheese is melted and beginning to brown. Serve immediately.
