Ham and Cheese Chutney Sandwich

Use cooking spray to pan fry this sandwich to keep the calories down.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 4 servings

  • light cooking spray
  • ¼ cup Egg Beaters
  • 2 tablespoons fat-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons prepared mango chutney
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread
  • 8 slices fat-free baked ham
  • 4 slices low-fat Swiss cheese
  1. Coat a pan or griddle with cooking spray over medium heat.

  2. Combine Egg Beaters, milk, mustard, cinnamon, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.

  3. Spread chutney on 4 slices of bread. Top with ham and cheese slice and finish with another piece of bread.

  4. Place sandwiches in egg mixture and coat on both sides.

  5. Cook each sandwich in hot pan, browning on both sides. When cheese is melted, transfer to plates.
