Broiled Chicken Livers

Maple-flavored bacon imparts a different flavor to the chicken livers.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 2 servings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken livers
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 slices very lean low-sodium bacon
  1. Drain cooked livers and dry.

  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Wrap a piece of bacon around each liver and secure with a toothpick.

  4. Broil until bacon is crisp.

Broiling Chicken Livers

Before placing chicken livers on the broiler, soak them in any flavor diet soda for about 2 hours. This may sound odd, but they will taste wonderful and your guests will never be able to figure out why they taste so good.
