Sugar Cookies
If you like sugar cookies with extra flavor, add orange extract for a very vanilla-and-orange-flavored sugar cookie.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 20 cookies
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons skim milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- light cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix all liquid ingredients in a medium bowl; add to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Spray baking sheets with light spray.
Drop cookie dough balls about 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake 8–10 minutes or until slightly browned on edges.
