The heart chakra is associated with the color green, and the high heart chakra is associated with the color pink. It is important to work with these two chakras because they function at their highest level when working together. By balancing these chakras, you create balance within for self-esteem and self-love, allowing you to give and receive love freely.

You will need a watermelon tourmaline pendant, which you can find at a metaphysical shop. Be sure to cleanse and clear your pendant upon purchase. Many people have had contact with this stone, and crystals and stones pick up on these energies very easily due to their inherent nature to hold information. Cleansing can be done simply by placing the stone or pendant in the moonlight during the full moon.

• Hold and charge the pendant. Visualize your hands channeling the universal energy, and charge it with your intent. Let this energy pour into your new pendant.

• Visualize your heart chakra. See it as a green ball of beautiful light. Feel it spinning in your chest. Focus on this ball spinning as a perfectly shaped sphere in a clockwise motion. Stay with this visualization until you feel this spinning within your chest, strong and powerful.

• Now move upward to your high heart chakra. See this chakra as the color pink, a pink ball of beautiful light. Feel it spinning in the high part of your chest. Focus on this ball spinning as a perfectly shaped sphere in a clockwise motion. Stay with this visualization until you feel this spinning within your chest, strong and powerful.

• Chant the following affirmation a minimum of three times to ensure potency:

  “I am light.

  I am love.”

The following ingredients have been chosen for their soothing aroma as well as their association with love and healing. Rose quartz is associated with self-love and love, and using it as a magnifier will activate your heart chakra.

Call on the energies of love to come and empower your heart and help soothe the healing process.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons dried lavender

2 tablespoons dried chamomile

1 tablespoon dried peppermint

white embroidery thread

embroidery needle

6” circle of pink penne fabric

fresh petals from one pink tea rose

1 small tumbled rose quartz

pink leather lacing

white and pink plastic pony beads

• Combine all herbal ingredients together in a glass bowl and mix them together using your hands. Visualize your hands charging your herbs with your intent. See your heart expanding with love, filling your whole body. See yourself healing your heart from past hurts and allowing yourself to be receptive to love again. Feel love entering into your heart center; visualize all of this energy empowering you and your herbs.

• Using the white embroidery thread, embroider your astrological symbol into the fabric, where it will be visible once the pouch is completed.

• Layer the freshly plucked rose petals in the center on the pink penne fabric.

• Let your hands hover above the petals and charge them with the intent to promote self-love. Place the herbs on top of the rose petals.

• Hold and charge the rose quartz crystal. Visualize the rose quartz absorbing all of the positive energy of love and light like a sponge. See and feel the rose quartz being empowered by the love you send into it. • Cinch the lacing together and thread the pony beads through the lacing. Try to keep the two sides of leather flat and pushed together to provide a strong, secure hold while you string the beads.
