The Aggressor

It's true. Aries is aggressive. But more specifically, Aries is a go-getter. In romance or business, Aries always aims to come out on top. He's instinctive and a great negotiator, with a natural gift of organizing things like conferences or interviews. People gravitate toward him because he's never boring. Unfortunately, many Aries never quite get to the point where they're actually happy with their work. Somehow this always affects their love situations. In truth, it's never really about the money, though that's always a nice incentive. Instead, it has more to do with recognition and status. Yes, work is very important to Aries — man or woman. And there's a very good reason for this.

Aries are the children of the zodiac. However mature an Aries is, she will want something not quite within her reach — not unlike a child who has had a rubber ducky taken from her in the bathtub. Unfortunately, this affects her way of dealing with romance. When she's not content with her work life, there is nothing a partner can do to make her happy. She can become moody and lose her enchanting sense of humor. When this happens, watch out! Aries can be as crabby as Cancer or Scorpio.

The Perceptive

Eye There is one difference, though, from the other, less fixed signs: Aries is practical about his options. He intuitively knows what he can and cannot have and what he's capable of achieving. Therefore, Aries will attack a problem — whether in love or business — at full force but with a discerning eye. He does this because if he doesn't conquer and win, his ego will have a hard time of it. He can rush head-on into any romantic or business situation, becoming unduly wowed by his partner or prospect. But know this — Aries will eventually catch on; grasping the situation completely in definitive terms, good or bad. If it's the latter, he'll be out the door without a second glance.

ALERT!

Aries will never methodically search out advice. When it comes to a tough situation, she'll take others' ideas and apply them to the situation at hand, calling them her own. But beware! If you call her on it, she may just get defensive and turn everything around on you.

At his best, Aries is romantic, exciting, and exceptionally fun to be with. Though he's more inclined to pounce on a grand romance and then pull back in an instant, he does make a loyal partner in the long run — in his own way. True, Aries is not the most faithful sign of the zodiac, though he expects you to be. But he does esteem and cherish any significant other with whom he chooses to spend his time.

Seeking Perfection

Another thing not highly known about Aries men and women is that they're seriously idealistic. Though Aries is pragmatic with goals, she wants more than anything to achieve greatness. This, too, filters into home life. When it comes to love and family, Aries will look for her ideal partner — though chances are that she won't find him early in the game. But Aries is not critical and judgmental, like Taurus or Scorpio. She'll throw a choice comment this way or that once in awhile but, in truth, Aries is too wrapped up in what she's doing to see clearly what's going on around her. She expects her significant other to be perfect, too, and without her guidance.

FACT

A contradiction in terms, Aries wants an easygoing partner — but also needs a good chase. A perfect love match for Aries is someone who is neither high-maintenance nor a pushover. This is a tricky blend but one that is worthy of the typical Aries' affections.

Strangely enough, Aries is the least-guilty sign of the zodiac. Like a child, Aries is convinced of his innocence, believing that if he messes up (or cheats!) it's warranted — at least in his case. Don't bother reminding Aries you were right. He's already mentally reshaped events to accommodate his take of the situation. To Aries, it's his way or the highway.

Don't try fawning all over Aries, telling her she's fascinating. She knows it already, and she'll start to think, “That's right. I am fascinating. In fact, I'm probably too good for you.” Aries doesn't want excessive compliments. Instead, she wants to earn your affections. But she'll never leave a good thing. After all, the object of the game is to find the one you can trust and love forever, right? Aries is aware of this and will try all avenues before settling down for good.

Though family is very important to him, many Aries have considerable difficulty with estranged brothers or sisters or critical parents. This is one of the reasons that he'll search for the ultimate partner. Sometimes Aries even gets engaged not just once but two or three times. When he's signed the contract, though, you'll most likely have won an Aries forever. It's not easy to get him to the altar. Once accomplished, it's probably a union that will last.

ESSENTIAL

Fortunately, Aries will not dawdle with ideas. If there's something he doesn't like, he'll tell you right away. Aries expects you to listen and take notice. It's not a warning — it's more of a command.
