A Power Play
If you've ever been involved with an Aries for a long period, at some point you've no doubt come to a standstill in the relationship. Aries is inexplicably drawn to situations that require a bigger scheme. This means that his undeniable wisdom will eventually enter into the picture. He needs to feel useful and to apply his incredible wisdom to make everything “right.” Aries is probably convinced that his way is the best way. If he's challenged too often, he'll give a few telltale signs that he's had enough. Then he'll just walk away, without warning. Though he may place the occasional ego call to determine whether or not the significant other is still interested, he doesn't necessarily care what the answer is either way. Once he's made up his mind, that's it. When this happens, it's a sure sign the relationship is over.
QUESTION?
Can a fling with an Aries turn into something more?
Probably not. You'll have to start with good behavior from the very beginning. Aries rates her partners. She wants a perfect mate, not just a play buddy.
Aries likes to be in control of things — but she'll despise you if you can't stand up to her in a way she deems worthy of her respect. Call it power, call it power play, Aries will not be manipulated to do another's bidding, though she'll still want her man to be strong. She'll also want someone who's calm and cool but who can effortlessly keep up with her adventures without stifling her — it's a tall order for Aries woman, but one she requires to keep the boredom at bay.
“Give Me Freedom, Or …”
Power does have a key influence in the Aries relationship, though it affects this sign in a rather odd way. All Aries are independent and need a lot of space. Even though he loves affection, sincerity, and unconditional love from a partner he prizes, Aries still wants the freedom to go out or stay in when he feels like it. This is a very delicate balance to achieve. No one can hold an Aries down — and no one should. The one true way to maintain a person of this sign is to let him do what he wants to do. Give him space and freedom. If he's truly the one for you, he'll be back. Aries hates to be proved wrong. If he's invested time and money into any effort (including a relationship), he won't be so quick to watch it fizzle out before his eyes.
