Special Memories in Your Life
If you had to write about the three most cherished memories in your life, what would you choose to write about? The memories you pick tell a lot about what is important to you. You can choose memories from different stages in your life, i.e., childhood, young adulthood, or adulthood. The beauty of writing your own story is that there is no right or wrong. Depending on your life's experiences, your memories can vary from getting your first bike, graduating college, your parents' love, the birth of your child, or your very first job. It could be a memory of a person in your life that influenced you to be the person you are today.
Whatever you choose to write about, make sure that you are sensitive to those loved ones who will be reading your words. It is always best to write when you are in a position of strength and not feeling vulnerable. If you are living in the end stages of your illness, you want to be careful not to try to control your loved ones after you are gone. The message should be one of empowerment and love and one of teaching and encouragement. These words will be lasting in the hearts and minds of those you love.
