Mind and Body Control for Perfect Health
By using the Law of Attraction, you can manifest perfect mental and physical health. Using the power of your mind you can bring about healthy changes in your body, even overcome the kinds of diseases that can shorten your life. Life extension is certainly possible through an understanding of dietary rules, exercising, stress reduction, smoking cessation, moderate consumption of coffee and alcohol, and deliberate work to manifest perfect health in harmony with the Law of Attraction.
You can learn to increase your vitality by becoming like a yogi, yoking your will to the energy you already have and using the Law of Attraction to draw more energy in from the Cosmic Source. Avoid declaring that you are tired; doing so makes you feel instantly depleted. Instead, affirm that all the energy you need is flowing into your body now.
Some Indian yogis have been able to slow their heartbeat and breathing in order to demonstrate mental power over their bodies. Stories that defy human logic and understanding have circulated. People have even been buried alive, slept on pallets of pointed nails, or pulled a heavy object using hooks in the skin of their backs. Still others were able to know things about total strangers or the nature and composition of a certain object. Sathya Sai Baba, a controversial Hindu holy man born in the Indian village of Puttaparthi, can manifest things out of the air by the power of his thought. He has done hundreds of demonstrations throughout his lifetime and is considered by millions to be an avatar or incarnation of God. When he materializes things such as gems and sacred ash, he is said to chant “It is coming now.” That phrase, spoken with resolve and faith, is an excellent one to use when working with the Law of Attraction.
Think of other examples of what you could manifest in your life. For example, you might manifest approval, love, higher ethical standards, understanding, insight, acceptance, hopefulness, peace, agility, strength, purpose, tenderness, fearlessness, veracity, confidence, a winning spirit, deep spiritual insights, and exceptional competence.
When the mind is free from distraction, it is possible for all the mental processes to be involved in the object of enquiry. As one remains in this state, gradually one becomes totally immersed in the object. The mind, then, like a flawless diamond, reflects only the features of the object and nothing else. — Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sutra 41
