Creating the Ideal Job

If you are employed with a company in a job that does not feel right but you need the paycheck and have no good options for moving, consider working with the Law of Attraction to inspire and guide you to a new position in your current company. Until you can locate another potential place of employment, you have to think of what to do from where you currently are. It may mean staying in the dead-end job until exit is possible. Don't be disheartened. Plant the seeds of desire and intent today so that the universe can rearrange itself to give you that new job.

Why You Have to Know Where You Are Going

Remember the words of the Cheshire Cat in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland: If you don't know where you are going, “then it doesn't matter which way you go.” When you know what you desire and where you intend to head and for what purpose, the paradigm shifts and sets into motion a new reality for you.

Be on the lookout for great new ideas. You don't have to be first at something, but endeavor to be the best. If you are the person in charge of your company, hire excellent workers who are quick at executing orders. Create incentives to inspire employees to be innovative, organized, efficient, and forward-thinking. Motivate your employees to do impeccable work, maintain quality, and stick to deadlines.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi researched the lives of ninety highly creative individuals, including author Madeleine L'Engle and Dr. Jonas Salk. He discovered that some creative people created jobs or invented a career for themselves. Those findings are published in his book Creativity: Flow and the Psychology of Discovery and Invention.

Create Your Ideal Job

Begin thinking about your dream job and how passionate you feel doing it. If that job doesn't exist, don't give up. Create that ideal job by impressing your thoughts and your dreams upon what Wallace Wattles calls the “formless substance.” Simply see it in your mind. In the energy field of the all-pervasive spirit, all things are related through interconnectedness. When you change, the universe changes, too. Some of the most creative people in the world have imagined totally new jobs and careers that didn't exist.

Develop Specificity in Your Vision

Envision everything associated with your ideal job. Tailor your desires. Be specific. Refine. Just the thought of being able to achieve your goals increases clarity and determination. What type of work is it? What tasks are you required to do? What does the office building look like? Who are the other workers (for example, are they highly skilled international workers or highly diverse college-age whiz kids)? What are the work hours/ schedule? How much money do you make? What is your title? Can you see yourself owning the company?

Through wisdom is a house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. — Proverbs 24:3–5

Cultivate Strong, Persistent Desire

If you want success and financial prosperity in the business area of your life, you must hang on tenaciously to your dream and deeply focus your intention on having it. Know that you are not living in a zero-sum universe. When abundance comes to you, that does not mean it leaves someone else. See your work as increasing the good in the lives of your coworkers and customers. Believe that your business transactions enrich the lives of others and never subtract.
