There is more to a law enforcement job than just policing the public. Policing the agency is every member's sworn duty, and keeping the agency honorable at all times can be the most exacting, and the most important, part of the job. The public demands integrity from those who enforce their laws, and it deserves nothing less. It is for this reason that more of a watchful eye is maintained within an agency than outside of it. It is probably the hardest job any law enforcement officer can undertake.
