Before you make an appointment with a breeder, be aware that the interview process is a two-way street. The breeder will want to know just as much about you as you want to know about him. Be prepared to answer all kinds of questions such as:

• Why do you want a Labrador?

• Where will the dog live?

• How do you plan to exercise the dog?

• Is anyone home during the day?

• Have you owned a dog before? What happened to it?

• Who will train the dog?

• Do you have a fenced yard?
