Your Car's Name Is Special

Count the number of words you can make out of the letters in your car's name. For example, if you have a Nissan, you'd probably start with “is,” “an,” and “nan.” Do the same thing for each of the names of the people in your family.

FUN FACT

What Is a Cough?

Coughing is our bodies'way to get something irritating out of our respiratory systems.

A cough begins in the lungs (we have two of them). Powerful muscles around the lungs contract, then expand, pushing out the air and mucus. Our vocal cords automatically close partway, moving aside a little to let the cough out. (This is why you can't talk while you're coughing.)

Each cough is a real windstorm — people cough out air (and mucus) at the rate of about 300 mph. This is faster than a lot of hurricanes!
