Count all the gas stations you pass this morning before lunch. Remember to include unusual types of gas stations, such as “Fina,” and various kinds of truck stops. Have one person on each side of the car look out his or her own side for a while. If you don't see very many, ask yourself why that is. Does the area just not have very many people living in it? Is the highway you're on not a major route for trucks? Maybe there isn't a good explanation. But you can still think about these kinds of things.
