In northern Europe and the British Isles, many mummies have been pulled from swamps or bogs. Natural chemicals in the water accidentally turn these bodies into mummies. Sadly, people did not end up in the bogs by accident — most of these mummies show signs of force and violence! Scientists believe three kinds of victims were put in the bogs.
