It was hard work to build a real pyramid, but you can have fun creating a miniature version out of paper.

What you need:

card stock (any color)

pencil

ruler

scissors

tape

What you do:

• Copy the pyramid pattern onto the card stock. You will need one square and four triangles for each pyramid. Cut out the pieces.

• Line up the base of each triangle with the four sides of the square. Lying flat, the outline will look like a four-pointed star. Tape the pieces in place at the base of each triangle.

• Lift up two of the triangle sides so that one side of each fits neatly against the other triangle. Tape the two triangles together near the base.

• Lift the third triangle to meet the other two. Tape it in place near the base. Lift the last triangle to complete the pyramid. Tape it in place near the base.

• Use a small piece of tape to hold the points at the top together.
