Greece

Every two years, athletes from around the world travel to a different country for the Olympic games. During each competition, the athletes honor the very first Olympics, held in Greece more than 2,500 years ago! A flame is lit in Greece, then carried to wherever the current Olympics take place. The flame is used to light a torch that burns day and night while the athletes compete.

Look carefully at this torch-lighting ceremony. See if you can find the 7 stylized drawings (stick figures) that represent the sports of volleyball, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, bicycle racing, swimming, soccer, and gymnastics.
