Getcha Hamburgahs
The hamburger seems like the most American of foods, but it was really “invented” across the sea in Europe. In fact, the name hamburger comes from the German seaport of Hamburg. The recipe for hamburgers was probably introduced in this country by German immigrants. The first official grilled hamburger-in-a-bun was served to the public in 1904 at the World's Fair in St. Louis. Believe it or not, this is the same fair where the first ice cream cone was served!
