Want to make a costume that's good enough to eat? Why not turn yourself into a goodie bag?

To make the candies:

• You will need a collection of small boxes, pieces of Styrofoam, swimming pool “noodles”—anything lightweight with an interesting shape will do.

• Wrap each item in brightly colored foil wrapping paper, and decorate with stripes of construction paper or colored duct tape, and swirls of poster paint.

• Then wrap each candy in a square of clear or colored cellophane, twisting the ends and tying them with ribbon.

To make the goodie bag:

You will need a large roll of clear cellophane, a roll of clear packing tape, and two strips of wide ribbon or fabric.

Take sheet of cellophane and fold in half. Tape both sides closed with clear tape. Leave top open to form a pocket. Make two!

Stuff pockets with “candies.”

Seal tops of pockets with clear tape. Use tape to attach two straps.

One goodie bag goes in front, and one in back. You—re in the middle!
