Terrific Teriyaki Tofu
When pan-fried, this tofu is quite flavorful. This is a great way to introduce your children to a very healthy option, for lunch, or anytime.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4–6
- 1 tablespoon canola or olive oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 pound medium tofu, cut into 2-inch long strips
In a large skillet, heat oil over low heat.
In a shallow mixing bowl, add water, soy sauce, egg, and garlic. Mix well.
Dip tofu pieces into above mixture.
Pan fry pieces in skillet until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes.
