Terrific Teriyaki Tofu

When pan-fried, this tofu is quite flavorful. This is a great way to introduce your children to a very healthy option, for lunch, or anytime.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4–6

  • 1 tablespoon canola or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound medium tofu, cut into 2-inch long strips
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over low heat.

  2. In a shallow mixing bowl, add water, soy sauce, egg, and garlic. Mix well.

  3. Dip tofu pieces into above mixture.

  4. Pan fry pieces in skillet until golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes.
