Super-Charged Strawberry Smoothie
There is no doubt that when the kids arrive home from school, they are ready to raid the refrigerator. Try and have this terrific smoothie ready for them . . . it will recharge them for the afternoon.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 1–2
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced mango, or small banana
- 1 teaspoon sugar (or 1 teaspoon Splenda for the child older than 10)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 to 4 ice cubes
Mix all ingredients in a blender, adding the ice slowly.
Blend until smooth.
