And the Award Goes To …

When somebody wins an award like an Oscar, it's because a lot of people voted for that person. To make sure the votes are counted properly, a special person called an awards show auditor is hired. He has to be a very honest person so everybody can trust him. This looks like a happy winner.

The winner's name is put in an envelope and given to somebody famous, who opens it and reads the winner's name on stage. Sometimes the accountants evengo on stage, just to show there are real people counting votes.
