Pat Summitt

When someone says “the best coach in history,” there is usually room for debate. When it comes to women's basketball, there is no debate, because no one has ever equaled the success of Pat Summitt. And the University of Tennessee Hall of Fame coach just keeps putting winners on the court year after year. After repeating an NCAA championship in 2008 — for her eighth NCAA title at Tennessee — Pat remains the coach with the most wins in college history, women's or men's. Through 2009, she had won 1,007 games while losing just 193 — a winning percentage of 80 percent. Under Pat, Tennessee made a record 16 consecutive Final Fours in a row and a record 27 appearances in the Sweet 16. She has produced 12 Olympic players, and every single one of her players who completed their eligibility at Tennessee graduated with their degrees.
