Pat “Riles” Riley
With his slicked back hair, Pat Riley was the conductor of the Lakers's “Showtime” production that included Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and three NBA titles. Pat left to coach the New York Knicks, where he showed he could coach a physical style of play. Despite taking New York to the finals, he could not win an NBA Championship. Coaxed to Florida to get the expansion Miami Heat up to the elite NBA standards, Pat built a solid group of veterans around young superstar Dwyane Wade. Once Pat was able to land Shaquille O'Neal from the Lakers, the Heat turned up the temperature on the rest of the league and brought Miami its first NBA Championship.
