Kabbalah developed in a number of different forms. The two major schools were Theosophical Kabbalah and Ecstatic, or Prophetic, Kabbalah. In addition there were other Jewish mystical movements occurring around the same time period. Mystical activity flowered in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, and other parts of the Middle East.
