The Bible begins with an account of Creation. God's role in that creation, and the implications of that for a person's relationship with God, are central concerns throughout the history of Judaism. These concerns remain primary in Kabbalah, but the way they are understood is radically changed. Kabbalah is loyal to the traditional language of Scripture but reads it in a thoroughly novel way.
