As Jewish children grow up, they are introduced to Judaism, the Hebrew language, Jewish celebrations and rituals, the Jewish history and traditions, and, of course, to the Torah. Bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, and (to a much lesser extent) Confirmation mark the way of each Jewish child along the road to adulthood and the assumption of one's place in the Jewish community.
