There are many nonprofit organizations that offer free or inexpensive job counseling services. Many nonprofit organizations — colleges, universities, public libraries, and private associations — offer free or inexpensive counseling, career development, and job placement services. Often these services are targeted to a particular group — for example, women, minorities, the blind, and the disabled — although there are also agencies that are available to the general public. Many cities and towns have commissions that provide services for these special groups.
