Affirmative Commands

You've learned lots of strategies for making polite requests, but sometimes the simplest and most direct approach to getting something done is a command form. Tell someone in no uncertain terms what to do without beating around the bush. Keep in mind that commands can always be softened by simply adding por favor and using a polite rather than a demanding tone of voice. Let's divide command forms into three groups: , usted and ustedes, and vosotros because they are formed differently. Then we'll have a look at the small number of irregular command forms.

Affirmative commands are very simple. They look just like the third-person singular of the simple present tense.
