Grape Salad (Angoor Ka Raita)

1 cup seedless green grapes

1 cup seedless black grapes

¼ cup red raspberries

¼ cup blackberries

2 tablespoons dried coconut flakes or fresh shredded coconut

1 teaspoon sugar

Table salt, to taste

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup light coconut milk

Serves 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes, plus at least 1 hour to chill

Cook Time: None

Try using jaggery instead of regular sugar for a special sweet taste. Eat this as a side dish with Spicy Minced Lamb Kebabs (page 126).

1. In a large bowl, combine the grapes, berries, and coconut. Add the sugar, salt, and black pepper; mix well.

2. Pour the coconut milk onto the salad. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Serve cold.
