Macaroni Lamb (Macroni Gosht Wali)
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Ginger-Garlic Paste (see recipe on page 13)
1¼ pounds minced lamb
2 small tomatoes, puréed
1 teaspoon Warm Spice Mix (see recipe on page 12)
½ teaspoon red chili powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Table salt, to taste
1 cup cooked elbow macaroni

Cook Time: 50 minutes
Try serving this with fresh French bread and a light spinach salad.
1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil. Add the Ginger-Garlic Paste and sauté for 10 seconds. Add the lamb and sauté for about 10 to 12 minutes. Add the tomatoes and fry, stirring frequently, for 25 minutes or until the oil starts to separate from the sides of the mixture.
2. Add the spice mix, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add the macaroni and cook, covered, for another 10 minutes or until the lamb is cooked through.
