Invitation Acceptance

Formal, engraved invitations often include an engraved reply card and self-addressed envelope for your R.S.V.P. For informal invitations to which you R.S.V.P. with a phone call, it's also a courtesy to send a short, handwritten note confirming your invitation acceptance. In the note, you can volunteer any additional information, such as an offer of assistance on the day of the event.

Letter of Confirmation

(Date)

Dear Ann,

As we discussed recently on the phone, Homer and I are looking forward to attending your annual cookout. We'll be there early, with the kids, our side dish and dessert, and our appetites!

I know how hectic things can be while you're doing those last-minute preparations, so I'll give you a call before we leave to see if there's anything you need us to pick up.

Fondly,

Pat
