Announcements

An announcement is a formal or informal notification of news of an event, stated in the fewest possible words. Such brevity only refers to the announcement itself, which needs to include the important who, what, when, where, and why details. The reasons why you may need to send an announcement are lengthy:

  • Adoption

  • Address change

  • Birth

  • Death

  • Divorce

  • Engagement

  • Graduation

  • Name change

  • Promotion

  • Job Change

  • Meeting

  • Retirement

  • Wedding

Business announcements can range from news of an acquisition to a collection notice or product recall. See Chapter 14 for more information.
