Letter of Inquiry
Before you do anything with your proposal, you may be required to submit a letter of inquiry. This is simply a preliminary letter that inquires as to the nature of the funding available, such as its availability and eligibility requirements. There is no need to go into any great detail about the proposal you wish to submit, but feel free to include some basic information about your organization.
Project title: SkaterSpace
Our organization is currently investigating ways to address the ongoing problem of teen skating activity in unauthorized areas, such as busy parking lots, parks, and malls. We believe we have a solution that will assist in reducing the amount of citations issued to teens caught skating in these unauthorized areas.
We would like to know if your agency is able to offer any financial support, and would appreciate any information regarding funding opportunities that you can provide.
Yours truly,
Fred J. Esquire
