Using Evidence
Remember that the evidence for your essay includes the anecdotes, clarifying examples, facts, and illustrations you've gathered from your research. Each piece of evidence you include should support your thesis statement. In most cases, you'll want to start by giving general statements and build your arguments from there, ending with specific facts. Your evidence should be:
Accurate
Arranged in a logical manner
Authoritative
Relevant
Straightforward, and not manipulated
Sufficient to support your thesis (prove your point)
